STAY (Together)

Family Therapy training and support for practitioners

STAY Training offers a variety of research informed trainings for providers working with families and adolescents who are experiencing conflict in their relationship and challenges with behavior.

Our Services

Group Training

Group training is for organizations who would like to train a number of their staff/providers at the same time, either in person or virtual. In person trainings are offered over one full day, while online trainings are covered over the course of two half days.

Individual Training

Individual trainings are a great option for folks working in their individual or group practice, or who do not have any formalized training in working with families and would like more skills in this area. These are offered in an asynchronous, online format and can be purchased on this site.

Supervision & Consultation

STAY trainers are approved supervisors in WA State for LMFT and LMHC licensure. We provide 1:1 or group supervision, depending on availability. Additionally, we offer “on the go” consultation to individuals, groups, or organizations who are looking for extra support with implementing family work in their practice.

STAY Training

Our foundational model, STAY, is a strengths-based, culturally responsive, and research informed intervention for families with youth (11+) experiencing disruptive behaviors and/or additional co-morbid mental health issues (depression, anxiety/trauma) that contribute to family distress. The STAY model uses a hybrid of evidence-based strategies and techniques that include behavioral parent management strategies and systems theories (Strategic and Solution-Focused), which are delivered through a phasic approach over the course of treatment.
